Frank Lampard has reacted to his appointment as Everton’s new manager.
Lampard was appointed as Everton’s new manager on Monday.
The Chelsea legend replaces Rafael Benitez, who was recently sacked.
The former England midfielder signed a two-and-a-half-year contract to replace Benitez.
Reacting, Lampard said it is a huge honour for him to manage a club with great tradition, adding that he cannot wait to get started.
Lampard said at his first conference after the appointment: “It’s a huge honour for me to represent and manage a club the size and tradition of Everton Football Club.
“I am very hungry to get started. After speaking to the owner, chairman and the board, I very much felt their passion and ambition.
“I think Everton is a unique club in that you can really understand what the fans want to see.”
