Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has hailed Chelsea defender, Reece James for his ‘phenomenal’ display during the Blues’ Premier League 4-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.
James won the Man of the Match against Burnley, as Chelsea strengthened their grip on third place position in the league table.
The 22-year-old opened the scoring for Chelsea in the second half, before Kai Havertz’s brace and Christian Pulisic’s goal ensured Thomas Tuchel’s side defeated Burnley at Turf Moor.
But Merson believes James displayed so much composure against the host, adding that the right-back can play as a centre-forward.
He told Sky Sports: “What a goal by Reece James.
“This lad could play centre-forward…It’s a phenomenal finish, so much composure.”
Chelsea’s next game is against Norwich City on Thursday.
