The Kaduna State Police Command on Thursday, presented a cheque worth N92m to the families of the deceased officers.
In a statement on Thursday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Mohammed Jalige, the cheque was presented to families of 43 deceased officers
According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Yekini A. Ayoku, who presented the cheques on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, urged the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously
He said the presentation of the cheques was part of the IGP’s Group Life Assurance Scheme for the year 2020/2021, being given to the families of the deceased Police Officers.
He said the presentation, which took place at the Command headquarters, Kaduna, was witnessed by members of the command’s management team and other relatives/guardians of the beneficiaries.
The Commissioner of Police, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the efforts of the Inspector-General of Police, for improving the welfare of the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force and urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the money for their betterment.
He said one of the beneficiaries, who spoke on behalf of all the benefiting families, thanked the Inspector-General of Police for the welfare package and promised to use the money judiciously.
