Labour Party, LP, chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has mocked Bola Tinubu after Peter Obi defeated him in the presidential election.
The spokesperson of the LP Presidential Campaign Council, PCC, on Monday described Tinubu as the Goliath of Lagos.
Goliath, the well-known giant in the Bible and a champion of the Philistines had a height of six cubits and a span.
Okonkwo, a veteran Nollywood actor, congratulated Nigerians and Obi’s supporters, Obidients, on the victim of the former Anambra governor.
“The Goliath and religious bigot of Lagos State has been defeated in Lagos by the Obidients despite all electoral shenanigans.
“A new Nigeria is possible. Hold unto God, He will see us through. Congratulations to Obidients,” the legal practitioner tweeted.
Obi secured 582, 354 ahead of Tinubu’s 572,606; the New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP, candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso polled 8,442.
There are arguments that the LP flagbearer would have secured more votes if the election was peaceful and orderly throughout Lagos.
Residents and business owners are going about cautiously after police warning that some persons were planning to wreak havoc in the state.
